added on March 21, 2008 - Joanna Levesque (aka JoJo), best know for her hit ‘Leave (Get Out)’ pop singer was featured in the March issue of Prom magazine. JoJo is one opinionated little cookie!

In the article, she talks about being booed off stage in Europe, her worst prom nightmare and her connection to Britney Spears.

Is it true that Britney started you career?

"No, when I was 8 I received tickets to go to a free concert. A woman recognized me from the day before on TV and asked me backstage. So I sang in front of everyone backstage. Britney’s bodyguard saw this and said, ’sing for Britney’."

Which I did. She told her assistant to give me her card. It had Larry Rudolph’s name on it, her old manager. Supposedly Britney was starting her own company and wanted me to be her first new artist. Let’s just say I’m not a fan of Britney.

Have she ever been cut down by anyone?

"In France when I was opening for Usher, I was booed when on stage. The audience threw stuff at the dancers. It was my first time in Europe. We never had a full tour, but it was the first and last time I was booed."

What’s the worst thing that could happen on prom night?

"Getting your period on your white dress. If you think this could happen to you, be prepared! With my luck it will happen to me."
